Belong CheckIn Fees and LONG Staking Discounts

What it does

Belong CheckIn documents mint, venue deposit, and withdrawal fees for ticket issuers, venues, promoters, and buyers. Its LONG staking discounts let venues reduce the platform fee on venue deposits and let venues or promoters reduce the fee on LONG withdrawals.

The fee model covers three places where fees apply: minting NFT tickets or memberships, funding venue campaigns through deposits, and cashing out earnings through withdrawals. Each part has its own rate and conditions, so it is useful to examine the relevant fee before tickets go live or a venue campaign is funded.

For a primary ticket or membership mint, the buyer pays a 2 percent primary mint fee at the time of minting. On a secondary resale, the ticket issuer may set an optional royalty from 0 percent to 8 percent, with 8 percent as the maximum. Belong also charges the buyer a 2 percent resale fee on top of any issuer royalty.

Venue funding follows a different structure. When a venue deposits USDC to fund customer and promoter rewards, its first two deposits have a 0 percent platform fee and a $5 convenience fee. The standard platform fee after that is 10 percent, plus the $5 convenience fee. Staking LONG can lower that platform fee through the documented Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers.

Withdrawals also depend on the method selected. An instant USDC withdrawal has a 10 percent fee regardless of staking tier. A LONG withdrawal starts at 5 percent on the Standard tier and can fall to 1 percent on the Platinum tier as the amount of LONG staked increases.

How it works

  1. Identify where the fee applies. Belong CheckIn separates fees into NFT ticket or membership mints, venue deposits used to fund rewards, and withdrawals of venue or promoter earnings. Start with the transaction that matches what the buyer, ticket issuer, venue, or promoter is doing.
  1. Apply the mint or resale fee. A primary NFT ticket or membership mint carries a 2 percent fee paid by the buyer at mint. For a marketplace resale, the issuer can configure a secondary-sale royalty from 0 percent to 8 percent. The buyer also pays the 2 percent Belong resale fee.
  1. Check the venue deposit sequence. A USDC deposit used to fund customer and promoter rewards has two components: a platform fee and a convenience fee. The first two deposits have no platform fee but retain the $5 convenience fee. The standard deposit rate is a 10 percent platform fee plus $5.
  1. Match the venue's LONG stake to the deposit tier. With no LONG staked, the Standard platform fee is 10 percent. Staking at least 50,000 LONG places the venue in Bronze with a 9 percent platform fee. At least 250,000 LONG is Silver at 8 percent; at least 500,000 LONG is Gold at 7 percent; and at least 1,000,000 LONG is Platinum at 5 percent.
  1. Choose the withdrawal method and apply its rate. An instant USDC withdrawal costs 10 percent, and that rate does not change with staking. A LONG withdrawal is 5 percent at Standard, 4 percent at Bronze, 3 percent at Silver, 2 percent at Gold, and 1 percent at Platinum. The same LONG thresholds used for deposit tiers determine these withdrawal tiers.
  1. Keep third-party charges separate. Belong does not earn from card processing, blockchain gas, or external payment-provider charges. The documented card-processing estimate is approximately 2.9 percent plus $0.30 and goes to the card processor. Blockchain gas is variable and goes to network validators, while external payment providers apply their own rates.

Who it's for and when to use it

This fee guide is for ticket issuers setting primary mint and secondary resale terms, venues funding customer and promoter rewards, promoters withdrawing earnings, and buyers paying mint or resale fees. Each role encounters a different part of the model.

Ticket issuers can use it when reviewing the 2 percent primary mint fee and deciding whether to configure a secondary issuer royalty between 0 percent and 8 percent. Venues can use it before depositing USDC for a campaign, especially when checking whether the deposit is one of the first two or whether a LONG staking tier changes the platform fee. Venues and promoters can use it before withdrawing earnings to compare the fixed 10 percent USDC withdrawal fee with the tiered LONG withdrawal fee.

It is also relevant when separating Belong fees from costs charged by other services. Card processing, blockchain gas, and external payment-provider rates are passed through to the parties that provide those services; Belong does not earn from those charges.

At the event

Consider a venue preparing to fund customer and promoter rewards. Before making a USDC deposit, the venue checks whether it is still within its first two deposits. If it is, the platform fee is 0 percent and the $5 convenience fee still applies. If it has moved beyond those first two deposits, the venue checks its LONG staking tier: Standard is 10 percent, Bronze is 9 percent, Silver is 8 percent, Gold is 7 percent, and Platinum is 5 percent, with the $5 convenience fee applying to the deposit.

Ticket activity has its own fee path. A buyer pays the 2 percent fee when minting a ticket or membership. If a ticket later appears in a marketplace resale, the buyer pays the issuer's configured royalty, if one has been set, together with Belong's 2 percent resale fee. The issuer royalty may range from 0 percent to 8 percent.

When a venue or promoter is ready to withdraw earnings, the available rate depends on the method. An instant USDC withdrawal remains 10 percent at every tier. A LONG withdrawal follows the staking schedule and ranges from 5 percent at Standard to 1 percent at Platinum.
