What it does
Belong CheckIn rewards verified visits with check-in bonuses, venue perks, and spend rewards for customers at participating venues. Belong CheckIn is for customers who want to discover places, check in, and earn activity-based rewards without needing crypto expertise.
The system connects real-world activity to verifiable on-chain rewards. It is wallet-optional, so customers can earn and redeem rewards without a crypto wallet. Rewards appear after a verified visit, while the proof-of-check-in system makes each reward verifiable on-chain.
A customer can receive three types of benefit:
- A Check-in Bonus: a fixed LONG or credit reward for verified attendance.
- A Venue Perk: a benefit chosen by the venue, such as a discount, free drink, or priority access.
- A Spend Reward: a variable percentage based on the customer's actual bill amount and configured by the venue.
The total reward depends on the venue's configuration and on whether a promoter referred the customer.
How it works
- Find a Venue. Open the app or scan a promoter's QR code to see participating venues. Each listing shows the check-in bonus, spend percentage, and any extra perks offered for the visit.
- Check In. At the venue, tap “Check In” or scan the QR/NFC tag at the entrance. The app verifies the customer's location and creates a temporary on-chain proof of visit.
- Enjoy and Pay. The customer eats, drinks, or experiences the venue as usual, then pays by cash, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or LONG tokens where available. Rewards can be earned regardless of the payment method.
- Verification and Reward. The system confirms the visit through the venue's POS data or receipt confirmation. After verification, the check-in bonus and spend reward appear in the customer's balance.
Customers who find a participating venue directly receive the check-in bonus, venue perk, and spend reward defined by the venue. When a visit comes through a promoter, both the customer and promoter receive their shares from the same campaign budget, and the venue's total marketing cost remains the same.
Who it's for and when to use it
The reward system is for customers visiting participating venues, as well as the venues and promoters that participate in the reward model. Customers can use it when finding a place, arriving at the entrance, paying, or redeeming their earnings.
It also supports repeat participation through monthly loyalty tiers. The tiers are based on verified visits per month, not on token holdings. Bronze starts at five or more verified visits in a month and includes a standard perk and a 1.05× bonus multiplier. Higher tiers are based on more verified monthly visits and include different multipliers and perks. Rewards update automatically at the start of each new month.
Belong CheckIn does not require a customer to pay with LONG. Some participating venues accept LONG, but cash, card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are also supported in the documented flow. A customer can still earn based on verified visits and spend regardless of payment method.
At the event
A guest discovers a participating venue in the app and reviews the listed check-in bonus, spend reward, and venue perk before arriving. At the entrance, the guest scans the venue's QR/NFC tag and the app verifies the location. The guest enjoys the venue and pays by card.
The venue's POS data or a receipt confirmation then confirms the visit. The check-in bonus and spend reward appear in the guest's balance after verification. If this verified visit brings the guest to five or more visits for the month, the Bronze loyalty tier applies with its standard perk. The tier is determined by verified activity, not by token holdings.
This same scenario can use a promoter's QR code. In that case, the customer receives the standard customer share, and the promoter receives a separate commission from the same campaign budget.

To use Belong CheckIn, open checkin.belong.net. The app lets customers view participating venues and their listed rewards, check in at a venue, and receive rewards after verification.
Customers can redeem LONG or credits by converting LONG to USDC and withdrawing through supported partners, spending LONG at participating venues, or staking LONG to unlock additional benefits. These conversions are operational processes managed by smart contracts. Rewards are earned from verified activity and are not investments.
